Perfect Blend......

Sorry for my inconsistent posting with this blog, but I'm still trying to get the hang of it all. Never quite saw myself as the diary type but recently I feel it would be amazing to look back on these posts one day to remember these moments.

Growing up in London, I have never seen the need to be a 'tourist' and explore every crook and cranny but learnt about hidden gems as I ventured out and about. Now Perfect Blend, just opposite Streatham Hill Station, has been a cafe that I have always wanted to explore since sixth form. It looked so cosy. And for my mothers 51st birthday, it was an absolute treat!

Christmas Is Coming!

Christmas Vibes!

they've put up the ice rink at Natural History Museum...eek I got all the feels

I don't know why, but this year I am over excited about christmas! I can't wait to be snuggled up in my onesie with my bro, with the fire on and taking tons of selfies to remember the day. Me and my older sister always dress like we are going to an event after we have eaten breakfast and opened all the prezzies.... I love it!

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Shampoo Review

My hair has been on a no shampoo diet for 3 years now; all the other shampoos that I had used previously would strip my hair completely leaving it feeling brittle. I no longer wanted to continue on using products that made my hair feel that way and so cut it out of my routine.

My hair loves conditioners, especially my home made ones, but recently after or before I install a protective style I would shampoo with this Shea Moisture Shampoo. It. Is. Beautiful.

Reminiscing Ghana

I miss the busy streets and unstable roads; the scorching heat and fan ice, the breeze and view. Ghana was and still is simply beautiful.

Leave Negativity Behind....

I don't have a clear reason for this post, just today my mind has conjured up many thoughts about life.

I was thinking about how far I have come in the last 3 years with my confidence and the manner of my mind; it's an ongoing battle having to fight bad thoughts day in and out because negativity always conspires ways to bring you right back to the bottom! I often want to scream, shout or cry but then realise that it would be a complete waste of time. That I should always remember that experiences only make you stronger if you allow it to do so.

Confidence w/ your Shrinkage

I used to see shrinkage as an inconvenience. The fact that I don't have one single texture throughout my hair, made styling even more difficult. But after getting more familiar with how to use certain products such as, coconut oil and Shea butter, I have learnt to manage the shrinkage.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I aim to showcase my ever growing journey towards learning the inns and outs of my natural hair; from lessons learned, to my best products and experimentation with new products. I am no longer at the beginner stage of my journey, but here is a quick background of what I have encountered so far.
